About Us

Iowa’s Xtreme Seamless Gutters & Exteriors was founded in 2011 by two friends turned business partners, Cole Valasek and Jay Handsaker. The two born and raised Iowa boys saw a need in Central Iowa for an honest and reliable contractor. Having worked in the construction industry, Cole began to see a need for a seamless gutter company in the Central Iowa area. Since Jay had already been working as a general contractor in Northeast Iowa and both partners had many years experience with seamless gutter systems, the decision came easily. The company was acquired through a mutual business colleague, and Iowa’s Xtreme Seamless Gutters & Exteriors was born.

Jay Handsaker

Waterloo/Cedar Falls

Starting a construction business in the Des Moines area came naturally to Jay. He was born in Des Moines and lived there for nearly 20 years before relocating to the Cedar Falls area where he would become a general contractor and property manager. Knowing the metro area gave him a good feel for the type of market Des Moines had to offer. The idea of serving customers all over central and northeast Iowa with honesty and integrity was his primary reason for teaming up with his longtime friend, Cole Valasek. Jay is excited and proud to be a managing partner of Iowa’s Xtreme Seamless Gutters & Exteriors.

Jason Elgin

Working in construction for the last 19 years, Jason understands the value of providing great customer service and strives to meet the customer’s needs. Jason worked in the Des Moines area for 10 years before relocating to northern Iowa with his wife, Katie, and son, Garrett. With Jason’s previous work experience, he knows the construction industry well and understands the importance of taking pride in your work. He believes that Cole and Jay share the same values of hard work, honesty and integrity. Jason looks forward to providing the best seamless gutter experience to customers in northeast and north central Iowa.
